The North Dakota Golf Hall of Fame has established three categories for selection to the Hall of Fame. These categories apply to males, age forty or older, who have proven themselves through their playing ability or their contribution to the Game of Golf in North Dakota. Selection will be made from one of the following categories.

Amateur – Contributed to the Game of Golf as a playing amateur
Professional – Contributed to the Game of Golf as a golf professional
Honorary – Contributed to the Game of Golf
