NDGA Short Course Championship – Wee Links, Minot – May 3, 2025

Golf Tournament Information

  • Lunch: 11:30 AM
  • Shotgun Start: 12:00 PM
  • Entry Fee: $100 per team (includes cart)
  • Replay Fee: $30

Format:

  • 2-Person Teams
    • Each player must have an active GHIN number from a North Dakota member golf course and an established handicap with at least three 18-hole scores posted to GHIN within the current calendar year.
    • It is recommended that both players maintain an active NDGA GHIN.

NDGA Shamble/Scramble – Bully Pulpit GC, Medora – May 16, 2025

Tournament Information

Format: 2-Person Teams
Requirements:

  • Each player must have a GHIN number from a North Dakota member golf course.
  • An established handicap with at least 3 scores posted in the current calendar year.

Divisions & Tees

Shamble Divisions (Gross Only)

  1. Open Shamble: Ages 14 and up, Gold Tees (6,600 yards)
  2. Mid-Am Shamble: Ages 30+, Blue Tees (6,000 yards)
  3. Senior Shamble: Ages 50+, Blue Tees (6,000 yards)
  4. Super Senior Shamble: Ages 65+, White Tees (5,200 yards)
    • Note: Requires a minimum of 8 teams to proceed.

Net Only Divisions (Any Age)

  • Teams select the tee they prefer to play from. Handicap adjustments are made based on the selected tee. Playing a shorter tee results in a lower handicap allowance.
  • Net Handicap Calculation:
    • 35% of the lower handicap
    • 15% of the higher handicap
  1. Blue Tee Scramble (Net Only) - 6,000 yards
  2. White Tee Scramble (Net Only) - 5,200 yards
  3. Red Tee Scramble (Net Only) - 4,600 yards

Player Requirements:

  • Both team members must have an active NDGA GHIN.
  • Each player must have posted three 18-hole scores (or equivalent) to their GHIN in the current calendar year.
    • Players are encouraged to post all rounds, including 9-hole scores (which count toward the handicap calculation).

For Net Divisions, players can select any tee they prefer to play from, regardless of handicap. Handicaps are adjusted according to the tee selected.

NDGA Scramble Championship – Bully Pulpit, Medora – May 17th-18th

Tournament Details

Format: 2-Person Teams
Handicap Requirement: Each player must have an active GHIN number from a North Dakota member golf course, with an established handicap and at least 3 posted scores.


Schedule

  • Saturday: Shotgun start at 12:00 PM (Mountain Time)
  • Sunday: Shotgun start at 9:00 AM (Mountain Time)

    • Tee: Gold
    • Yardage: 6,600 yards

      • Handicaps adjust based on the tee chosen. Playing a shorter tee reduces the allotted handicap.

Important: Both players must have posted a minimum of three 18-hole scores to GHIN in this calendar year. For scores from 9-hole rounds, the system calculates an 18-hole differential if entered as hole-by-hole scores.

Note for Net Division: Net players can select their preferred tees, regardless of handicap level, with handicaps adjusted according to the selected tee distance.

NDGA 4-Ball – CrossRoads GC, Carrington – May 31st – June 1st

Team Requirements:

  • Each player must have an active GHIN number with a handicap established at a North Dakota member golf course.
  • At least three 18-hole scores must be posted to GHIN in this calendar year.

Tee Times:

  • Starting at 8:00 AM on both Saturday and Sunday.

Divisions:

  • Open Division (Gross Only):
    • Age: 14 and up
    • Tees: Gold
    • Distance: 6800 yards
  • Mid-Am Division (Gross Only):
    • Age: 30+
    • Tees: White
    • Distance: 6400 yards
  • Senior Division (Gross Only):
    • Age: 50+
    • Tees: Red
    • Distance: 6000 yards
  • Net Division (All Ages):
    • Tees: Player’s Choice
    • Distance: Based on tee selection:
      • White Tees: 6400 yards
      • Red Tees: 6000 yards
      • Yellow Tees: 5200 yards
    • Handicaps are calculated from the selected tees (shorter tees result in fewer handicap strokes).
    • Net handicaps use 35% of the low handicap and 15% of the higher handicap for scoring.

Additional Information:

  • Lunch and Tee Prizes will be provided.
  • Trophies and gift cards will be awarded to the top one-third of the field in each division.
  • Each player is required to post all rounds played (9-hole or more). When 9-hole scores are entered with individual hole scores, they will count toward an 18-hole differential.

Note: For the Net Division, play from the tees of your choice regardless of handicap. Handicaps will be adjusted based on the selected tees.

Mixed Pairs Best Ball – Riverwood GC, Bismarck – June 13th, 2025

  • For Net Only, teams can select their preferred tees. Handicaps are adjusted based on the chosen tees. Playing from a shorter tee results in a lower handicap.

Handicap Calculation for Net Division

  • 35% of the lower handicap and 15% of the higher handicap.

Missouri River Classic – Riverwood GC, Bismarck – June 14th-15th, 2025

Tournament Details

  • Format: 36-Hole Stroke Play (2 Rounds of 18 Holes each)
  • Divisions:
    • Open Division: Ages 14+
    • Mid-Am Division: Ages 30+
    • Senior Division: Ages 50+
    • Net Divisions: All players compete in a single net division, selecting their preferred tee regardless of handicap.
  • Tee Times: Shotgun start at 9:00 AM each day.
  • Meals & Range Balls: Included each day.
  • Carts: Not included in the entry fee.

Men's Divisions

  • Men's Open: Black Tees (7,000 yards) - Gross Only

  • Net Division Play: Players may choose their preferred tee, and handicaps will adjust based on the selected tee.

NDGA State Stroke Play Championship – Riverwood GC, Bismarck

June 28th-29th, 2025

Join us for the most exciting event of the season: the 54-Hole ND Stroke Play Championship! The winner of this tournament will earn a prestigious spot in the USGA Amateur Championship.

We anticipate our strongest field yet and look forward to a fantastic competition.

Tournament Divisions:

  • Open Championship Division – 7000 yards
  • Mid-Am Division (30+) – Gold Tees, 6400 yards
  • Senior Division (50+) – Blue Tees, 6100 yards

In addition, we offer:

  • Gross-Only Championship: For competitors playing within their designated divisions.
  • Net-Only Championship: All players in the Net Division may choose their tee and compete in one unified division.

Tournament Details:

  • Tee Prizes will be provided for each participant.
  • Registration includes range balls, snacks, and water for both rounds.
  • Eligibility:
    • Juniors ages 10 and up can participate in their respective divisions.
    • College Age Players with a ND GHIN number are welcome to compete.
    • College Championship: Open to current rostered student-athletes in junior college or college, including out-of-state students.

  • Boys 10-12: 9 Holes, 2000 yards
  • Girls 10-12: 9 Holes, 2000 yards
  • Boys 13-15: 18 Holes, Blue Tees, 6000 yards
  • Girls 13-15: 18 Holes, White Tees, 5100 yards
  • High School Boys: 18 Holes, Gold Tees, 6400 yards
  • High School Girls: 18 Holes, White Tees, 5100 yards

NDGA 2-Man Alternate Shot Championship – Pheasant Country, South Heart – July 11th, 2025

Event Format:

  • One-day event with a 12:00 PM shotgun start
  • Alternate shot format

Gross Only Divisions

  • Men’s Open: Blue Tees – 6400+ yards
  • Men’s Mid-Am (30+): White Tees – 6000+ yards
  • Men’s Senior (50+): White Tees – 6000+ yards
  • Women’s Open: Red Tees – 5000+ yards

Net Only Divisions

  • Mixed Pairs: Men - Blue Tees (6400+ yards), Women - Red Tees (5000+ yards)

NDGA State Match Play – Jamestown CC – July 17th-20th, 2025

Divisions:

  • Open: 14+
  • Mid-Am: 30+
  • Nicklaus: 50+
  • Palmer: 65+
  • Hogan: 75+ (Handicaps used in matches for Hogan Division)

Mixed Flights:

  • Players who do not wish to qualify, and non-qualifiers, will make up the Mixed Flights.
  • Handicaps will be used in the Mixed division flights.
  • Tees for Mixed Flights are assigned based on registration and the choice of non-qualifying round participants.

  • Palmer Qualifier
  • Hogan Practice Round
    Hogan Division will exchange shots within the division.

Friday:

NDGA 2-Man Scramble Championship – Souris Valley, Minot –     September 20th-21st, 2025

Tournament Format:

  • Two-Man Teams may choose between the following options:
    • Gross Only: Available in the Open, Mid-Am 30+, or Senior 50+ Divisions.
    • Net Only: Teams may select from one of three tees – Hawk, Eagle, or Owl – in the Net Only Division. Please note that handicaps will adjust based on the length of the tee played.

Tournament Details:

  • Open Division (Gross Only): 6700 yards
  • Mid-Am Division (Gross Only): 6200 yards
  • Senior Division (Gross Only): 6000 yards

Net Only Division (Choose Tees): Choose any of the three tees (Hawk, Eagle, Owl).

Net Divisions:

  • Players can choose any tee to play from, regardless of their handicap.
  • Handicap Adjustments: Handicaps will be adjusted according to the tee selected. The farther forward the tee, the lower your handicap will be.

Inclusions:

  • Carts and Range Balls are included in the entry fee.
  • Dinner on Saturday evening following the round.

  • All participants must have an NDGA GHIN (Golf Handicap and Information Network) to compete in NDGA events.
  • Both players must have an active NDGA GHIN, with at least 3 scores posted to GHIN in this calendar year.

NDGA 4-Man Shamble Championship – Hawktree GC, Bismarck –    October 4th-5th, 2025
This tournament will be played in a 4-person shamble format, where all players hit a tee shot, and then the team selects the best tee shot. From there, each player plays their own ball until the hole is completed. The team’s score will be based on the best shot at every point.

Schedule:

  • Saturday: 12:00 PM shotgun start
  • Sunday: 10:00 AM shotgun start

Tournament Amenities:

  • Tee Prize: Each player will receive a tee prize.
  • Saturday: A meal will be provided after the round.
  • Sunday: Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all players.

Net Divisions:

  • Players can choose any tee to play from, regardless of their handicap.
